Home Care Physiotherapy Services
Travelling to appointments can be an unsurmountable obstacle for someone with mobility issues. As such, Therapeutic Solutions has been providing in-home physiotherapy services for seniors and those with mobility restrictions in North Bay since 2008. Appropriate hands-on treatment complimented by therapeutic exercise will improve strength, flexibility and balance to ultimately restore function and independence. For seniors, this results in a dramatic reduction in the risk of falling and improved independence. Home care physiotherapy is also invaluable for individuals recovering from total joint replacement surgery.

Ergonomic Assessments
At Therapeutic Solutions, we believe that achieving and maintaining a healthy body requires a holistic approach. For office workers, the physical demands of prolonged sitting and computer use are significant factors to consider. To reduce the physical toll of “desk work,” the design and fit of the workstation must be optimized to the individual and their work tasks. Ergonomically designed workstations are known to improve work efficiency, reduce lost time claims, increase job satisfaction and increase profitability. Therapeutic Solutions physiotherapist David Henschel has been providing worksite office ergonomic assessments since 2003. David brings 30 years of experience in biomechanics and orthopaedic physiotherapy to the office worksite to provide accurate assessments and valuable recommendations necessary to reduce work-related strain.

David Henschel

I have been practicing orthopaedic physiotherapy in North Bay since 1990, at which time I co-founded Physiotherapy North and later Symetrics. During my career, I have advanced myself through the Canadian Academy of Manual and Manipulative Therapists, becoming a fellow in 2003. My philosophy is that the identification of the root cause of a problem will lead to the most effective solution. Throughout my career, I have developed a treatment approach that blends manual therapy with exercise, education, ergonomics and lifestyle modification to create an optimal treatment outcome.
When not in the clinic I enjoy spending time with my wife and boys. My community involvement has included coaching youth soccer, basketball and cross country skiing. During the summer months, I can often be found cycling the roads and trails of North Bay.
